TV Static
In October 2020, as part of the Inktober challenge on Instagram, I committed to producing one finished piece of artwork every single day for that month. Each day had a different prompt word, which would form the basis for the drawing I would do. Each piece of art I produced during the course of Inktober used different artistic styles and different media, traditional or digital, 2D or 3D. The prompt word for day 27 was 'TV Static'. I wanted to reflect an interesting theory that I came across, which is that the static/white noise that you would see on old fashioned analog televisions was energy known as cosmic microwave background and traces its roots to the big bang that kicked off the beginning of the universe. So when you would look at the TV static on a channel that had not been tuned, you would essentially be witnessing the beginning and continuation of the universe itself.
